Thra1PV/+ mice have constipation, mimicking resistance to thyroid hormone (RTHα) patients. The total weights in grams of the small intestine (A) and colon (B) of wild-type (WT) and Thra1PV mice were measured and plotted directly or after normalizing against the total body weight (BW). Note that there is more content retention (i.e., they are heavier) in both the small intestine and colon of the mutant mice, indicative of constipation.
