The cytotoxic effects of BiZn on cisplatin-treated panels of cells were analyzed by XTT assay. The protection effect of BiZn on cisplatin-treated MSC, MIHA, C17.2, HK-2, and SKNLP cell was shown. Pretreatment with BiZn significantly rescued nonmalignant cells from cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity (bismuth compounds vs. control group, **P < .01 and ***P < .001).
