Shear stress-induced endothelial-derived prostaglandins enhance decidualization via stromal prostanoid receptors. Accelerated decidualization was observed in a flow rate dependent manner using conditioned media from perfused endothelial compared to treatment with conditioned media from cells cultured without perfusion. CM-induced decidualization from shear stressed endothelial cells (3 μL/min) can be blocked with co-treatment with prostanoid receptor antagonists.
