SOV inhibits tumor growth and induces apoptosis in vivo. An aliquot of 1×10⁶ 8505C cells was injected subcutaneously into the flanks of female nude NU/NU mice; when tumors grew to ~4 mm diameter, animals were randomly divided into three groups and treated with 5, 10 mg/kg SOV, or PBS. After 4 weeks of treatment, tumors were harvested. (A) 8505C xenograft tumor volumes in the different groups. (B) Alterations in 8505C xenograft tumor volume over the 4-week treatment period.
