(A) Baicalin significantly inhibits tumor growth in an H441 xenograft mouse model. The average tumor volume of vehicle-treated control mice (n=8) and baicalin treated mice (n=8) plotted over 20 days after tumor cell injection. The asterisk indicates a significantly increased tumor size (*P<0.05). (B) Baicalin has no effect on mouse body weight. Body weights from the treated or untreated groups of mice were measured once a week. (C) Baicalin inhibits the phosphorylation of Histone H3 and ERKs in vivo. Immunohistochemistry analysis was used to detect the level of phosphorylated Histone H3 ERKs and in tumor tissues.
