Figure 6. — The diameter of a minimum of 100 cells per plate was measured with a minimum of 3 plates per treatment. There was no statistical significance in the difference of serums used with BCS and FBS being approximately equal. The only significant difference noted was with FBS cultures grown 2 weeks when compared with cells grown 2 weeks in BCS serum. P value = .0002 for FBS at 2 weeks compared with BCS at 2 weeks. Data were analyzed using an ordinary one-way ANOVA. ANOVA indicates analysis of variance; BCS, bovine calf serum; FBS, fetal bovine serum.
