The sham mouse, as seen in the upper plot, takes a significantly shorter path to the hidden platform compared with the CHF mouse (lower plot). (B) The mean corrected integrated path lengths (CIPL) for CHF (n = 10) and sham (n = 4) mice at 4-weeks post-MI. The paths taken by the CHF mice were significantly longer on Days 2, 3, and 4 compared with the sham group, * p < .05. These results suggest that CHF induces spatial memory loss.
