Trial name or title	Phase III randomized study of radiosurgery with or without WBRT in patients with one to three cerebral metastases
Methods
Participants	1. participants with one to three brain metastases (less than 3 cm) 2. not within 5 mm of optic chiasm or within brainstem 3. no germ cell tumour, small cell carcioma or lymphoma 4. no leptomeningeal disease
Interventions	Radiosurgery versus radiosurgery and WBRT
Outcomes	1. survival 2. time brain failure 3. quality of life, functional independence, neurocognitive status 4. toxicity
