Participants	1. histologically confirmed metastatic cancer to brain or primary brain tumor 2. planned cranial irradiation (partial or whole brain) with a total dose of at least 25 Gy
Interventions	d‐methylphenidate (oral) versus placebo
Outcomes	1. fatigue score 2. quality of life 3. depression 4. neurocognitive function
