For each population (abbreviation) we give the sample size for neutral (Nm) and functional (N) markers, the microsatellite allelic richness (Ar), the expected (He) and observed (Ho) heterozygosity, the number of unique exon variants (Na), the average number of exons 2 and 3 per individual (NaI), the average nucleotide diversity (π), and the average individual amino-acid divergence between alleles (D). M refers to mainland and I to islands. The size of the island (km2), the distance from the mainland (km), and the latitude (Lat) (C: Central Greece; N: Northern Greece; S: Southern Greece) are also given
