Out-of-sample prediction of cognitive ability for GFC is better than RSFC and as good as task-derived intrinsic connectivity. All models were trained on intrinsic connectivity data from the Dunedin Study and tested using data from the HCP. Models were trained and tested with the same type of data. With task data this meant that models were trained and tested with tasks that have a comparable (parallel) task in both the HCP and Dunedin study. Predictive utility is displayed as % variance explained (r²).
