The network plots showing the comparisons in there were at least two trials. The size of the node (circle) provides a measure of the number of trials in which the particular intervention was included as one of the arms. The thickness of the line provides a measure of the number of direct comparisons between two nodes (interventions). Five outcomes (mortality at maximal follow‐up, 30‐days mortality, 90‐days mortality, decompensated cirrhosis, and adverse events (number) have intervention comparisons in which direct and indirect estimates were available ('closed loops').
