| Methods |
Cluster randomised trial. The study catchment divided into clusters and the clusters were stratified into nine strata according to urban/rural area, distance to the TASO Jinja clinic, and estimated number of HIV‐infected subjects. The strata contained between two and eight clusters each. Within each stratum, equal numbers of clusters were randomised to the two study arms (home‐based and facility‐based treatment). |
