LincRNAs and the regulation of the IL-1β-stimulated IL-6 release. Control and IPF fibroblasts were transfected with LNA antisense sequences against LINC00960, LINC01140 or scrambled control overnight. Cell were then stimulated with IL-1β for 24 h prior to isolation of RNA and measurement of LINC00960 or LINC01140 (A) and IL-6 (B) by qRT-PCR or (C) measure of released IL-6 by ELISA. Data represents the mean +/− SEM of five control or IPF individuals. Statistical significance was performed using the repeat measures 1-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a Dunnett’s test where *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 and ****p < 0.0001.
