Participants | 25 children with ALL receiving maintenance chemotherapy. Mean age 7.3 years | |
Interventions | Trivalent inactivated split virus (Vaxigrip) influenza vaccine A/Panama/2007/99 (H3N2), A/New Caledonis/20/99 (H1N1), B/Yamanashi/166/98. Participants received two 0.5 ml doses containing 15 µg hemagglutinin, 4 weeks apart Of the children with ALL, n = 14 received dose 1 of vaccine and reinduction chemotherapy on the same day; 4 weeks later, they received dose 2. N = 11 received dose 1 alone, 4 weeks later, they received dose 2 + reinduction chemotherapy on the same day |
