Cranial base inner distances represented on sagittal view show the different changes in each subtype of Apert syndrome. Class I developed more evident shortened anteroposterior length of middle cranial base. Class II has a significantly shortened posterior cranial base. Three subtypes of class III developed inconsistently decreased cranial base length.
