MCF-7 cells were transfected with GAL4-COUP-TFI-ΔC (B,C) or GAL4-COUP-TFI-ΔN (D,E) and GAL4-luc, treated with Me2SO or heteroaromatic C-DIMs, and luciferase activity determined as described in the Materials and Methods section. Results are expressed as means ± SE for three replicate determinations for each treatment group and significant (p < 0.05) induction is indicated by an asterisk.
