Table 2. Fold changes in the levels of mitochondrial proteins after chronic alcohol feeding.

Protein levels of the indicated mitochondrial proteins were determined in whole cell lysates prepared from hepatocytes isolated from control and alcohol-fed animals. Immunoblot bands were quantified by densitometry analysis using Image J (NIH). Representative examples of immunoblots are shown in Figure 1. Data shown are the means ± SEM from 3 to 6 pairs of alcohol-fed rats and their pair-fed littermate controls. Proteins levels are normalized to TUBA or ACTB as indicated.
