  • Yin level

  • Shaoyang stage, Taiyin stage, Shaoyin stage (hot or cold), or Jueyin stage

TONGUE
  • can appear totally denuded and void of any coat

  • may have a thick or thin coat of white, yellow, black, grey

  • can be swollen, withered, extremely red, pale, dusk

  • areas of darkness

  • dry, quite moist, or greasy
