Number and survival rate of granulosa cells of an oocyte and granulosa cell complexes (OGCs) (A, B) and the copy number of either mitochondrial or nuclear cfDNA in medium (C, D) was compared between competent and non-competent oocytes. OGCs collected from early antral follicles were individually cultured for 14 days. The oocytes grown in vitro were subjected to in vitro maturation for 44 h to determine their ability to undergo nuclear maturation. Copy number of mitochondrial and nuclear cfDNAs in the spent culture medium (200 μl) was determined.
