Residues consisting the Zn-binding structural site (S1) are indicated in red, while residues comprising the metal-sensing regulatory site (S2) are indicated in blue. The conserved cysteine residues in VcFur are shown in green. R39, indicated in orange, has been shown to be important for BosR function.
