Transferrin receptor levels on the cell surface were measured by flow cytometry as described in Methods. Data are presented as mean ± SEM, N = 4, one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparisons test.

Cytosolic Labile iron levels in control untreated cells were measured with calcein by flow cytometry as described²⁰. Data are presented as mean ± SEM, N = 3, one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparisons test.
