Western blot analysis of PKCβ1 levels in rats fed with different diets for 4 weeks. Rats in the SHG and IHG groups were fed with a low and high glycemic diet, respectively. Signal intensity was normalized to that of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) (a), and the average signal intensities after normalization are shown as a bar graph (b). ^∗P < 0.05 and ^∗∗P < 0.01 compared with the control rats.
