NKCC1-DFX is not trafficked to the apical/subapical area via the basolateral-to-apical transcytosis. MDCK stably transfected with EGFP-NKCC1-WT (A), EGFP-NKCC1-DFX (B), EGFP-NKCC1–241 (C), EGFP-NKCC1–242 (D), and EGFP-NKCC1–244 (E) were grown on MatTek Glass Bottom Microwell dishes for 3 days then transiently transfected with RFP-tagged DN-myosin-Vb tail (MyoVb) and imaged live.
