Early growth response 1 (Egr1) regulates endothelial cell function under high‐glucose (HG) conditions in vitro. A, Human retinal vascular endothelial cells (HRVECs) under HG conditions were transfected with sh‐NC and sh‐Egr1. Quantitative reverse transcription‐PCR was conducted to detect Egr1 mRNA expression (**P < 0.01).
