We measured abundance of more than 1,100 proteins in the fasting plasma of PAH patients and age-, sex-, and BMI-matched controls. (A) By principal component analysis there was general separation of PAH patients compared with controls using abundance of proteins. (B) We focused on differentially expressed proteins associated with glucose and lipid metabolism. We found a general decrease in proteins associated with glucose homeostasis and increase in lipid metabolic proteins such as OLR1. n = 27 PAH, 30 controls.
