Participants Population: office employees primarily engaged in desk‐based work at one of the two worksites involved in the study (Macmillan Cancer Support, Public Health England)
Interventions Duration of intervention: 12 months
Three arm trial
Intervention: a sit‐stand workstation only and a multi‐component sit‐stand workstation intervention including individual and organisation‐level approaches
Control: Usual practice (seated workstation)
Outcomes Objective measures of sitting, standing, and physical activity using ActivPAL3™ and ActiGraph (GT3X+)
understanding of the influence of organisational culture on sitting, standing and physical activity behaviour in the workplace using qualitative methods
