Participants 228 male smokers, av. age 39, av. cpd 23
Interventions 1. 15 ‐ 20‐min stage‐matched counselling by trained nurses. 4 follow‐up calls for those willing to set a quit date. 1 wk after intervention, 3 ‐ 4 days , 1 m, 3 m after cessation
