Body composition was determined using an NMR analyzer in rats at 7–8 weeks-old. Skeletal muscles (extensor digitoroum longus, epitrochlearis, gastrocnemius and soleus) and heart from 11-week-old rats were isolated and weighed. Values are means ± SEM (n = 6 rats per genotype).
