Risk of bias
Bias Authors' judgement Support for judgement
Random sequence generation (selection bias) Unclear risk Permuted block randomisation
Allocation concealment (selection bias) Unclear risk Not reported
Blinding of participants and personnel (performance bias)
All outcomes Unclear risk Embryologist not blinded for allocation
Blinding of outcome assessment (detection bias)
All outcomes Low risk Objectively measured outcome
Incomplete outcome data (attrition bias)
All outcomes Unclear risk Three women in the intervention group were unaccounted for in the analyses
Selective reporting (reporting bias) Unclear risk Several outcome measures that should be available to the authors were not reported, e.g. multiple pregnancy rate, miscarriage rate
Other bias Unclear risk Poor reporting quality
