Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) reveals distinct patterns of change for epigenetic modulators. The enrichment of epigenetic mechanisms in the mouse livers exposed to corn oil or PCN (50 mg/kg/day) for 3 days followed by saline or LPS (2 mg/kg) for 16 h was assessed using GSEA. An extensive search was carried out for epigenetic regulators that were enriched (FDR-adjusted Q-value < 0.25) but with targets changed in the opposite direction between the PCN and LPS treatments compared to those in the control.
