Early diagnosis of OSCC recurrence through NBI. The inspection of this asymptomatic surgical scar (outcome of a second-intention healing), from a patient who had previously had surgery for OSCC, did not reveal suspicious areas – such as ulcers, lumps, red and/or white lesions - at BWL (left image). Still, it was biopsied due to an anomalous vascularization at NBI visualization (highlighted spot, middle image) which was classified as IPCL pattern IV (upper and lower [2] - right images). Histopathological examination showed a recurrence of OSCC
