Analysis of male germ cell‐specific markers. (a) SSEA‐1⁺ and SSEA‐1⁻ hUC‐MSCs were cultured on MEF feeder cells, and were induced by BMP4. Sperm‐like cells were observed in SSEA‐1⁺ cell groups. (b) qRT‐PCR analysis of expression levels of STRA8, PLZF, GFRa1, DMRT1 and SCP3 between the BMP4‐induced and untreated SSEA‐1⁺ as well as SSEA‐1⁻ cells. Expression levels of these were increased significantly in SSEA‐1⁺ cells. (c) Immunofluorescence staining of sperm‐like cells on feeder cells, positive for Acrosin.
