Thyrotroph embryonic factor (TEF) is involved in the cell cycle G1/S transition. (A) GSEA plots of published TCGA data demonstrated a positive correlation between TEF mRNA expression and cell cycle check point signatures, especially in the G1/S phase. (B) Flow cytometric analysis of stable cell lines constructed from RT4 and HT‐1376 cells demonstrated that the percentage of S phase cells negatively correlated with the expression of TEF.
