Patients with right ventricular (RV) dysfunction are at increased risk of the combined end point of hospitalization for heart failure (HF) or death. When the cohort was divided by the median RV fractional area change (RVFAC) of 28%, patients with RV dysfunction had more clinical events than those with preserved RV function.
