Effect of MTSET on Cysless and V449C transporters. (A) Application of 100 μM l-glutamate (open bar) generates a steady-state current in oocytes expressing the V449C carrier (Vm = −60 mV). After a 4-min application of 1 mM MTSET (shaded bar) and a 2-min washout, a second application of 100 μM l-glutamate (open bar) generates a steady-state current of smaller amplitude.
