Ponderal evolution of F344 rats after Toxoplasma gondii infection. Rats were intraperitoneally infected with 10⁷ tachyzoites of type II Prugniaud (n = 8) or GUY008-ABE (n = 8) strains. Un-infected (NI) rats were used as controls (n = 5). Animals were weighted at days 4 and 14 post-infection. Percentages of weight regarding animal weight before infection were calculated and means ± SEM represented. Values were submitted to 2way ANOVA analysis followed by a Tukey's multiple comparisons test (*p < 0.05, ****p < 0.0005).
