Synthesis of thiol peptides in response to Cd or As(III) stress in rice roots. The 7‐day‐old seedlings of Nipponbare were transferred to a culture solution supplemented with 10 μmol/L Cd or 20 μmol/L As(III) and the control culture solution. Four plants were bulked, and the concentration of thiol peptides in the roots was determined 7 days after transfer. Values are expressed as means ± SE (control: n = 3, Cd, As: n = 4).
