TAZ was upregulated in CRC cells and is a direct target gene of miR-125a-5p. (A) The mRNA expression of TAZ in CRC tissues was determined by qRT-PCR. The mRNA and protein expression of TAZ in CRC cell lines LoVo, SW480, SW620, HCT116, HT29 was determined by qRT-PCR (B) and Western blot (C). (D) Luciferase activity was detected in cells co-transfected with TAZ 3ʹUTR WT/MUT and miR-125a-5p mimic/mimic control by dual-luciferase reporter assay. Protein expression levels of TAZ in LoVo (E) and SW480 (F) cells transfected with miR-125a-5p mimic or mimic control was detected by Western blot. mRNA expression levels of TAZ in LoVo (G) and SW480 (H) cells transfected with miR-125a-5p mimic or mimic control was detected by qRT-PCR.
