In vitro cleavage of CLPA variants by MMP and uPA. CLPA variants were incubated with MMP9 and/or uPA proteases at 37°C for various time points, and then analyzed by SDS‐PAGE and visualized with Coomassie stain. Cleavage assays were repeated two times with the same CLPA samples and a further two times with CLPAs from different CLPA conjugation preps. Cleavage results were similar in all samples. However, the amount of spontaneous PA cleavage present in basal conditions did change but with no noticeable impact on cleavage results.
