Interventions | Pharmacist‐managed hypertension clinic Patients in the intervention group were scheduled to see the clinical pharmacist once a month at the pharmacist‐managed hypertension clinic. A prescribing pharmacist made appropriate drug therapy changes (in both drug selection and dosage) for blood pressure control in accordance with guidelines. The pharmacist did not make any changes in their patients’ other drugs that may adversely affect blood pressure. Drug counselling, consisting of a discussion about side effects, recommended lifestyle changes, and an assessment of compliance, was provided at each visit.
