Expression of male germ cell sex-specification genes is delayed in teratoma-susceptible germ cells. (A-B″) Oct4ΔPE::GFP transgenic FVB, 129 and M19 germ cells from E12.5-E15.5 gonads were FACS enriched and analyzed by qPCR (n=3-11) for (A) Nodal and (B-B″) Nanos2 expression. Female germ cell expression data from all strains were pooled. Gene expression at all embryonic time-points was plotted relative to expression in E13.5 FVB germ cells. (C) Oct4ΔPE::GFP-positive germ cells from E13.5 F1[FVB×129] embryos were FACS enriched and analyzed by qPCR (n=5-7) for differential allelic expression of Nanos2 using SYBR primers specific to the FVB ‘C’ allele and 129 ‘T’ allele.
