Bone mineral density (BMD) and bone microarchitecture parameters. Distal femoral metaphysis (Mp.) and L5 vertebrate (Sp.) bone mineral density was significantly higher in rats from the CKD + exercise group than in rats from the CKD group (A,B). Cortical bone density did not show significant differences between the groups (C). Trabecular bone volume (BV/TV), trabecular thickness (Tb.Th), and trabecular number (Tb.N) were significantly higher in rats from the CKD + exercise group (DF), relative to those from the CKD group. Micro-CT scanning demonstrated that the trabecular bone in rats from the CKD group was looser than that in rats from the CKD + exercise group (G).
