SEM images of stainless steel surface processed with double cross-polarized (XP) pulses for different inter-pulse delay values. Two different fluences were utilized Φlow = 0.1 J/cm2 (top) and Φmed = 0.2 J/cm2 (bottom). We fixed pps = 20 and H = 2 µm. The results of irradiation with trains of single pulses (SPs) with linear polarization are included for comparison. The red arrows indicate the polarization direction.
