Methods Double‐blind, randomised, placebo controlled trial. 
 Randomisation method: not stated. 
 Twelve patients withdrew from study. 
 No intention to treat analysis but power calculation done
Participants 210 women undergoing abdominal hysterectomy. 
 Exclusions: major organ dysfunction, history of allergic reactions to opioid analgesics or NSAIDs, bronchial asthma, gastrointestinal ulceration, bleeding disorders, or concurrent anticoagulant therapy.
Interventions Rx: Ketorolac 60 mg IV bolus before end of surgery then 30 mg over 30 minutes every 6 hours for 72 hours
 Pl: 2 mL normal saline IV before end of surgery then 20 mL normal saline IV infusion over 30 minutes every 6 hours for 72 hours
Outcomes Pre‐operative and hospital discharge serum creatinine.
Notes Median serum creatinine levels given but time of hospital discharge was variable among women.
