13 November 2018	New search has been performed	A search of the Cochrane Cystic Fibrosis and Genetic Disorders group's Haemoglobinopathies Trials Rehister did not identify any potentially‐eligible trials. A search of online trial registries identified 78 references which were not eligible for any section of the review. Given that there are unlikely to be any trials published in this area, this review will no longer be regularly updated.

A search of LILACS identified seven references, all of which were not eligible for inclusion in any section of the review.
