Tangential migration delay of MGE-derived cortical interneurons in Sp9-CKOs. (AD′) GFP immunostaining on E12.5 and E13.5 coronal hemisections showed that MGE-derived Sp9 mutant interneurons migrate into the cortex less efficiently. Note the reduction of GFP+ cells in the marginal zone of Sp9-CKOs compared with controls at E13.5 (arrows in C′,D′). More GFP+ cells were observed in the ventral telencephalon of Sp9-CKOs (arrows in C, D). Scale bars: 200 μm in A for AD; 100 μm A′ for AD′.
