Ethanol increases the levels of VEGF and activates MMPs in HCT116 cells. (A) Western blotting analysis of MMP2, MMP9, and VEGF in HCT116 cells treated for different times with 100 or 300 mMEtOH. Quantitative estimations of the protein levels were determined by densitometry measurements of western blotting from three independent experiments after normalization with β-actin.
