DIM treatment suppresses the expression of NOX2 and NOX4 in mice with LPS-triggered acute kidney injury. Mice were exposed to LPS (10 mg/kg), DIM (40 mg/kg) or LPS + DIM (10 mg + 40 mg) for 24 h after which the expression levels of NOX1, NOX2, NOX3 and NOX4 were determined by western blot analysis. *P<0.05 vs. control. DIM, 3,3′-diindolylmethane; NOX, NADPH oxidase; LPS, lipopolysaccharide.
