Association of serum γ‐globulin concentration with proliferation ability of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) in calves with low γ‐globulin content (<10 g/L) or normal γ‐globulin level (≥10 g/L), after stimulation with leukocyte medium only (used as negative control = unstimulated), 0.3 μg/mL concanavalin A (0.3 ConA), and the combination of 0.3 μg/mL Concanavalin A plus 50 μg/mL Macrogard (0.3 ConA + 50 μg/mL MG). All cells also reacted to the positive control (10 μg/mL ConA) (data not shown). All proliferation ability appeared to be negatively associated with serum γ‐globulin content of the calves.
